Basement Waterproofing

Keep Water Outside Where It Belongs.

Water reaches a basement through more than one path: cracks in poured concrete, deteriorated block and mortar, hydrostatic pressure building against the wall, failed weeping tile, and grading or downspouts that send water straight back toward the foundation.

Sealing a visible crack without addressing the drainage that caused it usually buys a season. We look at the whole system — wall, membrane, drainage and grading — and recommend the repair that actually removes the pressure.

Common Questions

Waterproofing & Foundation Repair FAQs

Still unsure what applies to your home? Call us and describe what you're seeing.

Most basement leaks come from water collecting against the foundation with nowhere to go. Cracks in poured concrete, deteriorated mortar joints in block walls, failed or clogged weeping tile, downspouts discharging beside the wall and negative grading all allow water to build up. Once hydrostatic pressure develops, water is pushed through the smallest opening it can find. Identifying which of these is responsible is the difference between a repair that lasts and one that comes back.
